Job Description: Coordinates and directs the 24-hour therapeutic/activity program for residents of Providence Point. Provides innovative service designed to meet the special needs of each resident through recreational, educational, spiritual, and life skills programs in a therapeutic manner. To determine individual interests, plan and implement therapeutic recreational and social activity interventions as a member of the Activities staff at Providence Point. To provide interventions that are meaningful, purposeful and successful to individual residents changing needs. The Activity Coordinator will work as a member of the Activity Department with focus on activity programming for residents for the Health Care, Assisted Living or Memory Support. The Coordinator will professionally represent the department and the organization to its residents, families, volunteers, and others. The Activity Coordinator will be responsible for creating activities for all levels of care through all three floors of the unit.
Experience Required:
Education Required:
· Associates Degree in Recreation Therapy from a college or university; and or 5 year’s equivalent experience in a Long Term Care field.
